Course Overview
This course provides competence - based training and assessment for electrical and instrumental personnel working in hazardous areas. Practical "Hands-On" Training and assessment takes Place in a realistic simulated environment, Giving attendees a comprehensive learning experience which is directly related to industry setting.
Course Content
In order to provide the highest quality training experience, this course will consist of the following :
Instructor Led Presentation - The core elements of skill will be presented & demonstrated in a classroom environment.
- Explosion Principles, Gas Properties and Hazards
- Standards, Certification and Marking
- Protection & Installation Techniques for EX,d,e,n,i,o,m,q & p equipment
- Combined (Hybrid) types of protection
- Wiring Systems, Enclosure Entries, Cable Gland Selection and Installation
- Inspection and Maintenance of equipment to IEC 60079 - 17 Standards
- Sources of Ignition
- Hands - On Installation & Inspection
Practical Assessments
Lab Exercises Practical Demonstrations of Skills will be accomplished by the student
EX01 - 3.35 Hours
Ex02 - 1.15 Hours
Ex03 - 3 Hours
Ex04 - 1.15 Hours
Final Exam
